Reptoids In The Woods

Are there reptilian-like beings lurking in our national parks?  Could there be a hidden species of humanoid bipedal reptiles that has secretly existed alongside humans?  These might seem like far fetched ideas, but there is a surprising amount of evidence that points to the existence of humanoid reptiles (reptoids for short).  These creatures vary in description, but typically have green to brown colored skin covered in scales, just like a snake or lizard.  Similarly, they are almost universally observed with vertical pupils, short snouts (sometimes only nostrils without a nose), and other features similar to lizards and snakes.  They are nearly always seen walking upright, just like humans.  Most are reported to be of a height similar to a human, but are sometimes smaller (in the 1-3 foot range), and sometimes larger (7-10 foot).

While most are familiar with cryptids such as Sasquatch, Nessie, or even Mothman, the general awareness of reptoids is still relatively small.  However, serious eye witness accounts go back quite a ways, with entire flaps occurring as recently as the 1980s.  More recently, there have been many reports of such creatures in remote wilderness areas. 

This is an account taken from “John”, a park ranger in the Boise National Forest, as related to the “What Lurks Beneath” YouTube channel.  John’s story is as follows:

At a remote campground in 2016, John awoke to an unusual sound which John believed to be an injured animal.  Upon investigation of the surrounding treeline, this sound was followed by several unusual and unnerving screams.  John could see something large moving in the forest behind the treeline, but was unable to make out what it was.  At that moment, the creature emerged from the trees, and John could clearly see what had been making the commotion;  It was an 8 foot tall, muscular, bipedal reptile-like creature with a large green head and green eyes.  The creature’s nose flared with irritation.  Its human-like arms ended in clawed hands, and its eyes were full of contempt.  The scream it had been making was so resonant and unusual, John had no doubt that the sounds it was making could not be made by a human.  Now, he was certain that it was not a human he was dealing with.  As it stood before him, he could tell that it could see him as well.  John believes that the creature was posturing to charge towards him.  The feeling of fear and intimidation was too much- John turned and ran, scrambling up a ravine in order to escape.  The screaming reptilian creature gave chase, and followed John while he retreated through the forest.  Running as fast as he could, John was able to escape, but just barely.  Although he was able to make it back to his truck, John claims that the creature followed and was able to keep pace with his vehicle while going 45 MPH.  

This might seem like a very tall tale, but it’s one of a surprising number that all report more or less the same thing- bipedal reptilian humanoid creatures that give off an extremely dangerous and menacing aura.  There are elements of John’s story that actually line up exactly with other accounts, such as the creature being able to run alongside a car going 45 MPH.  That exact thing was reported in another Reptoid sighting from Florida that took place in the 1990s.
